QUEPOS

This started out as a pretty nice day. We didn't want to get too dry, so we skipped the beach for white water rafting instead.

By now our tans had faded, so we were hoping to get Costa Rican color by rusting.

The port is not very well protected, and by the end of the day the launches were pitching pretty good!

Now into the caraVAN for an hour or so.

Wanda and Don never told us about their Bar in Quepos! Probably trying to keep out the Riff-Raff.

The Long and Winding road goes ever onward.....
Well No shit Sherlock!

There were odd signs all over the place.

We finally stopped for a break at this place. It's close enough to nowhere to see the signs. They had cold drinks, and that much needed "rest stop" for the ladies. It was here that I noticed not only license number of our transport But that our vehicle was leaking from the radiator. "No problemo Seņor! There is much water here."

From there, the road got much worse, the closer we got to our insertion point. I think that's why they had the beer stop and restrooms.

THE ALPHA RAFT!
This tour was BIG PHAT PHUN IN THE SUN.... Uhh Costa Rican sun that is, meaning rain. It took a while for our guide to balance out us fat, uh, heavy, uh buffed and bulky guys though. Our carefully selected team of Christian, Terry, Me, Carole Ann & Jennifer were the only ones not to get thrown out of the boat for the entire trip.

Near the 3/4 point we put in for a rest, and some exploring. They took us to this beautiful waterfall.
Naturally some of us could not resist the temptation to get behind and into it.

Thank you Terry for bringing your waterproof camera.
Some were a little blue when they made us get out here.

Of course the hot food and Ice tea's helped a lot. They had grilled chicken with an amazing dipping sauce for it. My next mission was to GET ME SOME!!! Oh and an ICAB.

This shot does not show how the seas had come up. It was quite rough, evidenced by the squadron of Jetskis.
