From the looks of this plaque, the Mandalay beat us here too. What didn't beat us was the RAIN! It stayed with us most of the day.

Here is our fork in the road!

Just another day of Liquid sunshine in Costa Rica!
Bustling downtown Golfito
Carole Ann making a fashion statement in front of the Chica Pica. Some people just know how to adapt, don't they? I wonder if a child's plastic pink poncho, and an umbrella keeps the makeup intact.

Where shall we get some food and ICABS? Gee, These places look a little seedy.

Now THIS place looks promising.

HOLY MOLY! It's already full of Jammer's, so it MUST be good!

I guess Fernando musta made a reservation, or at least warned them. They seemed afraid to try evicting a bunch of Pirates?
Even had a postcard view of the Legacy right from our barstools!
WOW! A heartfelt touch of home and Captain Casey!(who trained at the Maritime Academy in my home town of Vallejo on the Golden Bear) GREAT "Viagra Ceviche" complete with a jar of cold nuclear fusion!

Top it off with beers under a buck. what's not to like here?

Ok, well maybe getting your ass kicked at darts wasn't that much fun,
but at least ya got yer friends to console you......

AND.....the food and drinks were VERY GOOD! Since the entertainment was here, we didn't want to go back to drinking $4 beers under the dripping wet tarp on the Legacy too soon.

But all good things must come to an end.
Yep STILL raining!
Some people just can't let go of that Internet, can they?

Not everyone made it all the way down to Samoa del Sur. Christian and his posse stayed here.

The Coasties were there just in case.....

you needed a water taxi.
Looks like the entire fleet was in that day.
