Although it wasn't sunny, it was still a very nice beach day.
Coconut Bocce was the game of the day.
OK, so it wasn't exactly a DESERTED island. But they stayed on their own beach!
When I got to the beach, people told me snorkeling was nice, but there were no fish to see.
Ok, maybe I saw a few....
Hey, anybody seen "old BOB""? Nope, not since this morning when he hiked over the top of the island to the other beach with us. Well, he isn't on the ship, he isn't here and there are only 2 more launches coming.
Christian and I went out to search for him. The trail split off after about 300 yds. so I took the high road and he took the low road. The trail was marked, but just barely. It was quite steep and covered in slippery leaves. I had visions of finding Old Bob, with a broken hip, heart attack, or worse!
Beautiful forest, but did you ever see such a big termite mound in a tree?
I got to the other side of the island to find a deserted beach. I walked a ways, and heard a noise in the brush. Yep, Old BOB!
"Nice beach, you just getting here?" Yeah Bob, I came for YOU! Last launch is coming. "That's nice of you. I got my compass and know the ship is that way, but the forest is too thick to get through. I've tried 3 different routes, but had to come back to the beach. I'm glad you came for me. Night's coming, and I figured I was going to spend it here" The trail's over here Bob, let's go! AGAIN I'm in fear of Casey's delight in leaving yet another passenger behind!
The crew was relieved to see us, and I even think they held the last launch too.
As you can see, Bob was very happy to be back aboard the ship!
Odd thing, was that some were even glad to get him back!
After 4 rescues in 3 days, I was beginning to blend into the crew.
