St. Kitts

Wilmott Hunkins, the Seamoss Man was voted St. Kitts best taxi driver last year. He got his name from a health drink he makes and sells at "the Circle" shopping center near the pier. He gave us a great PERSONALIZED tour of the island for a reasonable price. We saw Romney Manor, The Batik Factory, Brimstone Fort, and Turtle Bay with a running commentary about His home. He was very informative about the history of the Island and even spotted wild monkeys for us. As you can see he has a spotless Air conditioned van. He can be reached by Cellphone on 869 662 3826 to arrange for a island tour. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend him.
We found him again in 2006. Same Terrific guy, with a new van.
He took us to this overlook where the Atlantic is on the left, and the Caribbean is on the right.

This is Brimstone fort which took the English 104 years for to complete. It has a commanding view of of the ports on the island. You can just make out Nevis in the background. The hills are very steep, so it was easy to defend. Of course the French don't put up too much of a battle. We only spent about 1 hour here, but could have easily spent 5. The manicured grounds are huge, and the fort has been well preserved.
