This time security would not let in camera's of any type unless it was an Iphone. The venue was the new Golden 1 center in Sacramento. It was poorly designed as the seats were cramped and on a very steep incline. The barriers were so low that in the 1st 3 weeks they were open 2 people have fallen over the side. Also the acoustics are so active everything sounds tinny and louder than normal. Typical $15 beers and $40 T-shirts. OH HELL YES I BOUGHT BOTH!
The pirates may have been in town but we hung out with the the Riverfront Gamblers.

IN 2011 THE PHLOCK WAS WELCOMED TO "FINLAND"
The party is always in the parking lot. We were VERY fortunate to have our new best friend move some of his stuff so we could park. On Long Island there is no beer inside so we drank Champagne to prepare.
A familiar face was there!!
We no sooner got inside the stadium and a
began. Although it delayed the show about an hour, we huddled under the grandstands with a flask of rum. When they did begin the lightning provided a natural light show as it moved past the stage.
Even though our seats were wet Jimmy kept us up on our feet dancing to the Volcano AND..............................
Cheeseburgers in Paradise.Check out the logo on the stage. It's the sign from Le Select on St. Bart's! We've been there several times. Great memories have been made there too!
Parking lot was a madhouse so we just hung with "The Last Man Standing " crowd.

The official opening act for us was at The Flamingo hotel's Pool area.

The annual "Last Man Standing" Charity event is thrown by the
Las Vegas Parrothead Club
, who party with a purpose!
As Bubba said..... "Hey Snake this party's getting dull, throw someone in the pool".....
No, WAIT! They're already IN the pool.

They had Cheeseburgers, drinks, bands, and Parrotheads EVERYWHERE! It began with "Stars on the Water". Next up was "Jimmy and the Parrots", and his son was in the crowd, Did he tell you about his son? Ok, how many times?
....
They DID have some big sticks, HOWEVER.....
The final act was worth the wait for us fewer than 100 "Last Men and Women Standing".
We danced right up near the stage as "Tommy Rocker and Conched Out" had the REAL Big Guns join them!
For the last set they were joined by most of Club Trini:
Nadirah Shakoor, Robert Greenidge, Tina Gullickson, and Doyle Grisham.
Too bad Jimmy, Mac, and Mike didn't make it, or we could have skipped the concert..... NOT!
The next day, the Party moved from behind the Flamingo and continued in the streets.
And then on to the MGM!
Nothing quite like a Parrothead Convention to get "in touch" with your inner self, is there?
Yvonne's banner became quite the attraction that everyone wanted to sign.

BUT WHO EVER HEARD OF A JIMMY BUFFETT CONCERT WHERE LANDSHARK BEER AND MARGARITA'S WERE ONLY ALLOWED IN THE VIP TENT????
And to think I was unhappy with Shoreline in California!
I guess life really IS all relative.
